How much for an average semi for the windows?
-
I know its probably more.
But if someone could prove that they could clean the average semi with 8 litres of water (the same as flushing the toilet) I think that would be quite a compeling arguement for it not to be banned
-
The water you use cleaning isn't all the water you use. An RO unit rejects alot of water. Sometimes 60%.
-
Yesterday I used 90 liters of pure water to do the outside of a Primary school and 60 liters of tap to do the insides and down stairs. So there isn't much difference really.

I appreciate what your saying but if thats the governments issue I suppose Ionics' Pro-7 is going to become v popular

im about at that figure
3 / 4 houses per 25 L barrel
add to the RO that ive fitted a tap to the waste and slowed the flow of the waste, i now get about a even waste / pure
so i guess i use about 12 L per house in real terms
i do only upstairs with WFP though

If we all went back to trad how much water would we use washing our cloths every day, I would think the average washing cycle would use a fair amount of water ???
-
They might just put you all on DI-only systems, no waste! which is what i use but my tap tds is only 95ppm. :D

If I use my 200 litres in a day, I've done enough, earned enough and I'm knackered too :)

ssshhhhhh

Don't forget all the water which we use, goes back into the reservoirs, via the sewer pipes and the water table.
So in real terms we don't use a drop. ;D
-
I,m just completing my first time round with WFP. At the mo I use 175 liters at work doing tops only with triggers on my poles. My RO produces abouth 50/50 waste/pure. So all in I'm using about 350 liters per day.

matt does that work fitting a tap to waste, does it damage anything?
might try that

might try that
it does slow down the waste, thus saves water
the thing to ALLWAYS do, is when you flush the membrane, open the waste tap FULL, so the membrane gets a good flush
MY RO is now 3 years old, so it cannot harm that much

I assume these are fairly expensive...

One of my customers asked me if I'd heard the debate about water-fed pole technology on the radio yesterday.
She thought 1,000 litres of water a day was rather a lot :o
So although Im trad, I did my bit for you boys who are WFP, and explained that that figure was thoroughly excessive and not to be expected. Also, though, I explained the advantages; having broken my leg previously from a ladder fall and also being able to do windows above conservatories etc (she has a bungalow, so that was fine so far as I was concerned ;D ).
I didnt explain the improved earnings potential, as Im thinking about water-fed for myself next year ;D
Thanks for sticking up for, us all the best for next year

am I right in thinking that the extras in the banning is just a proposal at the moment, or has it already gone through the readings???????
