Just wanted to ask none window cleaning people,
How did you get hold of your window cleaner ?
Yellow pages, leaflets, reccommendation, cold calling, the web ?
For those who used yellow pages did you look through the one liners or did you just scan the big ads ?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Dave,
2 guys just knocked my door and asked if I wanted my windows cleaned, So thats how I got my latest window cleaner, just hope they stick to it? the biggest complaint about window cleaners around here is they seem to do it for a couple of months and then pack it in.
all the best

I thought it was just my house.....

You see one working in your street , or they knock at door.
Reliability is problem but perhaps this will improve with investments in pole systems needing to be repaid.

Same as Ian....................but I would imagine the chore of collecting is a pain and causes many to give up, especially as the amount to be collected is so small.

You'd have thought a clever WC would have them on Direct Debit.

Collecting is not an issue for me, i just wait until i see the customer or they send me a cheque.
I am just looking towards the best way of me marketing my business to domestics.
How many here would use the yellow pages to find a window cleaner ?

I wouldn't look in the YP for a domestic WC I'd ask a neighbour IMO why not do a rewards programme for referals offer them a free clean for every new customer they pass on, how much is a new customer worth to you? not just 1 visit but say 12 over 1 year??
