Hi Guys, as some of you know I develop websites for carpet cleaners amongst others.
I have nine carpet sites all on page one of Google obviously with good page rankings.
If you copy and paste the following codes into your links page code.
I will return at least 2 reciprocal links for each one you send.

<a href="http://www.capitalcarpetcare.co.uk" title="Edinburgh Carpet Cleaning and Upholstery Cleaning" target="_blank">Carpet Cleaning Edinburgh - Capital Carpet Care: Carpet, Upholstery and Rug  Cleaning in Edinburgh.

<a href="http://www.carpetanother forum.co.uk" title="Bristol and Bath, Carpet Cleaning and Upholstery Cleaning" target="_blank">Carpet Cleaning Bristol and Bath, - Squeaky Clean: Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning in and around Bristol and Bath,

When you have done it mail me your sites URL  and your preferred code, if you have one, if not just the details and I`ll sort it out.
info@capitalcarpetcare.co.uk

I know it`s one of these jobs thats hard to get around to when you busy, but it is worth it.

All the best.

The 2nd one - the Bristol Bath one - is it correct as shown??
Title: Re: website link exchange
Post by: Robert Watson on October 26, 2007, 05:05:37 pm
Joe that certainly is not correct.
The bit that said "http://www.carpetanother forum.co.uk should read   "http://www.carpetanother forum.co.uk
But the forum is changing it.  ???
Perhaps Mike or Ian could explain.
Thanks for spotting that.

Title: Re: website link exchange
Post by: Chris Boswell on December 04, 2007, 02:03:26 pm
Hi guys,

remember to keep your link pages under 40 links per page otherwise they start to be worth considerably less with the search engines.

Another tip is not to call your links pages 'links pages' call them 'carpet cleaning resource pages' or something like that. The relevance and importance of the links will be a tad higher if they are identified by the search engines as useful resources that someone has collected together rather than as reciprocal links.

One last tip. Always get your keywords in the link text and in the title attribute, that way the link is more relevant - e.g. the HTML would look like: <a href="http://www.foursquareinnovations.co.uk" title="search engine marketing in Leeds">search engine marketing in Leeds (http://www.foursquareinnovations.co.uk" title="search engine marketing in Leeds">search engine marketing in Leeds</a>)

If you do it this way the search engine bots will look at the link text and at where the link is pointing and put 2 + 2 together that this particular website is relevant for the words contained in the link.

search engine marketing in Leeds (http://www.foursquareinnovations.co.uk/web_design_pages/search_engine_optimisation_leeds.html)

Any questions feel free to drop me an email: cb@foursquareinnovations.co.uk

I've just checked that I have links back from all the people I have put on my site. One guy has two sites and received two reminders from me and four months later I'm not on their site.

There are a couple of others too.

Guess what I will be doing while I'm watching the GP.

edit:Unless of course they are a master of oversight and are sharpish at adding me deeperclean.co.uk  ;D

Hi Guys

In Pete's defence as he is on holiday, he has to request his web developer makes changes which are not always carried out.

I'm sure on his return as a man of integrity he will contact his developer.

I think as Mike, these things are better sorted privately, if you don't get a  satisfactory response then just delete the link.

Cheers

Doug
Title: Re: website link exchange
Post by: Bob Robertson on June 22, 2008, 02:57:52 pm
Why should it be sorted privatley   ???  If your not prepared to give links back then you should not be on a forum asking for them . I have said that they will be revoved if I dont get a response .   Web sites are a business marketing tool and you dont get free maketing . If you check through your own links you might be suprised how many links you think you have but dont. Somre people will add your link  then remove them after a period of time or  move them to pages that google cant see them.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying.

Pete's not the sort of bloke who would not reciprocate on purpose. I m sure if he was around he would have held his hand up and put you on his site. I know he like me had a bit of trouble getting his head around linking s/w.

In Pete's defence as he is on holiday, he has to request his web developer makes changes which are not always carried out.

I too have to work through my web developer and it is very frustrating cause he doesnt act as quick as what I would like.
Not a lot I can do at the moment.
It has meant I have only just in the last couple of weeks got some links added which I requested about 8 weeks ago.
but I am up to date now (I think) but will be checking to see if my link is on others pages and will contact privately if not.

Hey Tilhson

Had no idea you had me on yours. I have only had links software since April this year so not even had the capability of linking (and therefore of course the inclanation). Don't remember getting any emails either but thats not the issue. I have been in doors about an hour and I am just playing catch up and see I have a mail from you. It will be actioned and I apologise if you feel let down, t'was not intended and will be dealt with tomorrow.

Very good Tony thanks. Kids loved it. Idyllic spot, right on the beach (a small bay with clear b lue water which was excellent for snorkelling and saw a small octopus) . Food was good (all inclusive), free San Miguel all day, very secure (for the kids) and the rooms were good as was the entertainment. Will definitely take em back there next year.
