I've just placed my order for Extracta's DX + accessories and am seriously tempted to stretch my budget to purchase one of the scrubba tools.
I've got my first job pencilled in for the last week in November, 3 beds, lounge, hsl. The childrens beds are built in so I'm going to need to work underneath them, as opposed to moving them. This would seem the ideal situation for a scrubba tool as it can work flat, whereas the wand has to be at a certain angle, making it useless in this situ.
Is everyone happy with their scrubba's or are they a waste of 'start up' money?

A good piece of equipment, but I would get some carpet cleaning completed first and then think about the posibility of a scrubber, you may decide you dont need one.

Got a scrubber myself and for large areas they are a good bit of kit (imo) smaller areas like bedrooms etc i find it easier to just use a wand.
As Nick says, you would probably be better off just using a wand for a while befor you spend the extra money on a scrubba.

Cheryl I maybe be in a minority here but.......I never ever use a wand. I find them bloody hard work. Had my Srubba deluxe from Extracta for 7 years and wouldnt be without it. It never lets me down and as I said is so much easier on the arms than a wand. If I had a week without my Scrubba I'd hire one as opposed to struggling with a wand.
PS if you're going to get one then the in-between-size ie Srubba De Luxe would be good for large and small jobs.

If I was still using portables I would NOT be without a Scrubba, I think they are without doubt the best of brush type power tools.
There was one very recently on ebay, maybe its still there, under carpet cleaning.

The Peugeot expert is a good van. Go for the 2 litre turbo diesel. The petrol engines are underpowered.
It's economical and reliable.
It's absolutely fine for portable equipment and the 2 side doors make loading & unloading easy.
We had a smaller van for a while but quickly outgrew it. I'd say that an Expert size is the smallest you should consider.
Hope this helps. (Did you know that the Citroen Dispatch is almost identical and often cheaper?)

I have recently purchased a Citroen Dispatch 2001, twin side loading doors, agreat van similar to or the same as the Peugeot Expert. The best van I ever had! ;D
What does it have in common with scrubbas :o

I also use the Scrubba Delux and like others say its much easier than a wand, great for large areas, no good for a bedroom or small rooms.
You will also still need a wand for the edges/tricky areas etc.
I wouldnt be without it, cant imagine doing a very large area without it, but to start with just use a wand until you are ready to purchase, although I did buy mine straight away.

What's more I saved well over £2,000 ::)
The service was superb...the dealers in Leicester need to really get their act together... I won't be shopping there again
