Hi,
I have a ninja with in-line heater, everytime i plug the heater in the fuse blows, i think it my be the element as i could smell burning mins befort the problem started. Ashbys want me to send the unit to them, the machine is used as a back up only but need to get it working asap as i have large job at the weekend, and need both macines. Anyone had similar problem or know of a supplier who has spares available, dont like dealing with Ashbys if i can help it.
Thanks Mark

You have lots of viewings but no replies.

I'm sure its the case that those who have viewed cannot help. Hang on till later when others come in and hopefully someone can help.

Hope you get sorted - must be frustrating

Hi

Have you got anybody local either an electrician or auto-electrician, they should be able to sort it.

But if it needs parts you will probably have to go back to the supplier.

I can't help on your repair problem, but there appears to be an obvious short term solution. Don't use the heater!

Depending upon your pump type, you would typically expect it to have a safe working tolerance upto about 60C (this is hot enough to scald the skin) so fill with hotish water.

Another option is to look at your working practice.  Will there be just 2 operators with no casual?  In cases like this, I find it more productive to have just one machine working with the assitant pre-vaccing, spraying agitating and ferrying water. production rate is normally greater than double of one person working alone.

Next option would be to using cleaning solutions that are not dependant on elevated temperatures, although if you are working on, say, greasy restaurants, it may be slightly more time consuming.

My final option for consideration would be to use one extractor, a rotary with pads and a microsplitter.  Spray everywhere, agitate everywhere with pad (Charly's would be ideal, but a combo of brush and cotton viable).  You will have cleaned light/non trafficed areas with the pad and just require a rinse on the brushed traffic/soiled areas.

Safe and happy cleaning :)

I quickly answered this question this morning and then deleted the answer, I said 'don't use the heater' but I deleted it because I didn't want to sound sarcastic, it was soooo obvious.

I thought that but would have been shot down for being condescending. There are plenty of products out there that don't need heat or so we are led to believe ::)
