Hi,
We have a cleaner who started out very good, puntual etc, and now she is taking the pee, we say no to a day off (asked at short notice, just wanted to swap shifts but we have no cover) and she doesnt turn up anyway, and we have asked to comply with our signing in and our procedure and so far it has been ignored, even after reminders, and we have received numerous complaints, and we feel she is passing on bad habits to a new younger member of staff, Bad attitude and ignore the boss type of bad attitude),
Her trial is coming to an end and just wondered if we are within our right to basically say your services are no longer required. Trial period is 13 weeks. This week it ends.

I think you already know the answer to that one :-\. Take it from me you have to learn fast and develop a real thick skin in this game. Toughen up or it'll come back and bite you on your ar*e.

Did she agree to this !!Trial period is 13 weeks!! if so I can't see a problem.

does 13 weeks seem too long? i think its about right, they all seem to start showing their true colours by then.
And yes when they start they all know that the first 13 weeks is probationary period.
i wonder if our signing in and out procedure (free! 2 ringer dodgy when entering amd leaving premises) is because she has no credit, even if you got a few pennies this works i think?? anyway i have contacted our clients and they have agreed that a designated phone can be used incase of problems like this, no excuse now not to do it.

I agree with Richy, do a search I have answered this type of question many times, don't spend your time checking up on someone who obviously doesn't want want to work anyway!
