Title: First Day cleaning today - Reality check for newbies :)
Post by: Kwackers on October 15, 2007, 08:55:21 pm
Hello All,

Firstly, Thanks for all the help people have been giving me over the past few weeks.

I finally got a backpack system running and got my first few customers.

I've built my Days at £100 or below, to make sure i can definately complete the work in a day, 1 because im slow (new to this) and 2 because it's first cleans.

Anyways, got to the first house for 9.10 and by 9.12 my fuse had blown, good start, by the time i'd found somewhere that was open, i was back and starting for 10.40.

Completed 8 first cleans (1 wasted journey, they left me a note on the garage??? to say they were 3 doors up and a mobile number to get them to come back, thing is i usually knock on the front door)

got home at 5 o clock and took £96.00, maybe i'm slow, underpriced, or whatever, but it was a good day, and a fairly good start i thought.

Just thought i'd let you know.

Happy cleaning

Thanks people.

It took me at least 5 minutes to do one window due to the fact that it had a clutter of snails on it.

15 in total!

I find with snail trails if you brush lightly and quick it gets rid of them quicker than hard brushing IMO..

My fuse used to go alot when I started - I have no idea why. I kept a pack of red ones in the glove compartment. It never goes now - I have no idea why.
