I am not on a meter yet, but i know a lot of you already are....
are your bills ok, campared to water rates, i know it will go by the householders occupants, i think.
I will wait and see but in this mornings paper it states all the country will have water meters, looks like i will be driving to a river in the dark .. pumping in to a tank and boosting it into another through the ro system lol,
whats your views guys,? those already on will know the costs.

Hi,
I pay about £10 pounds a week for the water that I use for window cleaning, it's not that bad!

If they rip me off I'll just pay less tax. :P
There's always ways to get your own back.

whats pro 7?
-
Some sort of medication I'd imagine.
-
ha,
is it possible to force water through a ro system, without hooking it to the outside tap....
i mean, from a tank full of tap water... forced through the ro, and into a purewater tank?
i know there are booster pumps, but are they simply to assist water from the tap?

Pro-7 is ionics super expensive zero waste ro. The filters on that thing can't last long.
-
Anglia water charges £2.39 per 1000lts. Not as bad as you would think eh?

They should have called that Pro 7 the resin muncher, the rubbish in the water has to go somewhere and it does through those filters leaving them spent at an alarming rate.I read written comments about that system last year where WCS were claiming to go through 2-3 filters a month.

My 'Essex and Suffolk' water bill says that my water is only costing me 88p per cubic meter. I thought that was 1000 ltrs but it seems too cheap or are the figures being quoted on here including sewage costs?
-
my bill is now a extra 28 quid a month, for 3 days work a week
not bad for the safety of no using ladders
-
ah, none of it sounds quite as bad as i thought....
how do you break it down though, from the water you and your family use and the water used for work... to get to your figure stated here.?
cheers for your input lads, as i thought it was going to be horrendously high,
by the way , as we use it for business , are there no subsidies, discounts or whatever they like to call it?

You can add a meter to the supply to your RO.
-
ah right .
thanks. :)

water meter? paying for water?
what is this nonsense you all talk of?...
(by the way i have a boar hole ;))
-
If you have a meter fitted now you get the choice of where it goes, then half way through the quarter turn it round and they run in reverse
-
what you do is tap in to the water pipe before the meter and pipe that to your ro then you wont have to pay for any more.just offer the guys a few quid when they fit the meter and they will do it no probs.or you can do it your self really easy ;)

I don't think so, the meter goes in the path where the stop cock goes, your responsible from the meter onwards, not cheap if there is a leak.
-
im on a meter and find it pricey! after rates its a pain in the butt!
-
i was thinking of moving phoned water people they said its £2.19 per cubic mtr then 28p per day standing charge,
that adds up to a lot in a week, i use 1000 ltr s aday
5 days x 3 cubic mtrs = 15 cubic mtrs per week,
as there is 2 cubic mtrs waste for avery 1 cubic mtr produced from my ro,
that = 15x 2.19 = £32.85 per week plus £1.40 charge
in a month thats £137 per month of my money
-
they only put it there if you dont volenteer,
