I am sure I read somewhere on here today that one of you changes his carpet cleaning machinery every year.
I would like to know others views on this.
How often do YOU change YOUR machine?
for what reasons do you change at that point in time?
-
Same as changing a van, because you have to or you can afford to get a newer/better machine.
-
i try to buy a new machine nearly every year or two, i'm prob gonna buy a powr-flite black max, 400psi p/h in jan-08. but i'm not gonna replace the machines i've already got, it was very painful to me to sell me last machine, i did'nt want to sell it, but needs must & the kids wanted a hampster. freshi

Its just that I saw one guy on here say he changes every year.....and it got me thinking...why?
Do they start having expensive problems after a year?
Is it because of a new supa dupa model comes out every year?
Is it to do with depreciation?,
or can get a good trade in?
Still wondering........................
-
joe, if a models good enough, it certainly captures my interest, i tracked the cfr pro-500 p/h for about a year before finally comitting & have not looked back since, the micro-splitting & recycling system appeals to me, i was glad to get away from conventional carpet cleaning, cause of using irretants & certain solvants. also depreciation certainly plays its part, plus expenses etc! going down to amtech on wednesday for s & s removal coure, gonna gem them about the black max "powr-flite" freshi

Joe I was gonna buy a new machine this month but Frshi pressed ganged me into the same course and is now trying to sell me their spotter kit so I guess I'll have to wait.
Pete

Its a Prowler Steve - is that the same as you got (he! he!)
ou dont need a big van for that!
-
Trying to get everyone converted to the prowler ;D ;)

-
Now that is a bargain. Whats the tax on that Steve?
-
At the current exchange rate - I'll take 2
-
It's effectively the same spec as a ninja (bit smaller) but for a 1/3 of the cost.
-
joe, so what do you think about the black max 400, steve's 2nd posting is the right one or you can see it on www.powr-flite.com uprght extractors. freshi
-
I thought you were a CFR fan?
It looks fine - price in dollars is attractive - think I'll go live in the States!
-
i'm a cfr fan & basicly its the same principle, i think cfr & powr-flite fight out of the same corner. i just felt that the powr-flite 400 was better than the cfr alternative. both parties use cfr cleaning solutions, use the same spotting products, one-step stuff & are patented by perfect heat. oh i truly love cfr, kissy kissy kissy. :-* freshi
-
I've only tried the CFR De-Foam, whats there other products like??
-
there really good, i use excell a on upholstery with fine line as the pre-spray, synthetic carpets i use excell with premium as the pre-spray, for neglected carpets & needlepunch i use reclaim intank & pre-spray, restaurant/pub carpets enzo soil one intank & pre-spray, defoam, deo-reo 30 & 40 odour neutralizers, shut out stain blocker goes intank & clean as normal, excell a or excell on wool carpets depending on the soiling with premium as the pre-spray, plus their spotting products, which are: super solve, pop-out, bw stain away, enz out, gel spotter & zap-it. imo great products. freshi
-
oh yer & not forgetting rid-a-gum! a superb product.
-
Just got some rid a gum but not as yet tried.
Thanks for info on other stuff - will get round to buying soon
-
oh freshi you mercenary you did'nt tell Joe you were on the board at amtech did you?
-
The machine is not smaller than a Ninja.
I have the 1350 Powrflite which is the same size, but with a 1000 psi pump regulated down to 500
psi, perfect heat system, 2 x heavy duty 3 stage motors.
55 litre solution tank, 42 litre recovery.
It dwarfs my Ninja and makes it look like a toy.
Performance is near identical, apart from the fact that with the CFR tools
you can actually use the pressure, without any risk of over wetting.
Carpets are much drier, and the tank doesn't empty too quickly.
You use regular products not the specialist CFR chemicals, this is not a recirculating machine
but a normal extractor.
-
Another Powerflite fan!
How long have you had it?
Have you had any problems? Repairs? Parts?
What "regular" products do you use?
What wand?
and what hose run have you successfully managed?
-
you can use cfr & one step products with the powr-flite system, the only instance is that you would use more cfr solutions than in the recycling process, cfr solutions are compatable with both cleaning systems. regards freshi

Pete & Freshi
Enjoy your course tomorrow
I just pity the poor course instructors!!!!
-
cheers joe, we'll be leaving at 6am, will gem you when we come back! okey doaky

Had my Powrflite for 6 months now, So far no problems at all.
Apart from soft body, it marks easier than Ninja.
Over summer cleaned 3 schools with it, one 15000 Sq ft.
Wonderwand,
CFR 5" combi tool, just replaced valve couldn't get a seal kit (Woodbridge).
I would happily clean upholstery with 66 feet of Hide a Hose,
Have not tried further as i only have the 2 high pressure hoses.
Most of the time i use Craftex premium clean, although i have tried
m Power , undecided on that some amazing results, and some total carp.
Nemesis quite impressed, certainly better than M Power.
Nemesis super, seems worse than regular Nemesis.
One step sample with machine, again impressive, but you have to buy too much.
If M Power and One step so good why don't suppliers let you have smaller amounts
instead of seeing you as a one hit wonder.
