Hi,
What Leathher cleaners do you lads think get best results,
Ta
-
ultra clean fron furniture clinic seems to be the best for me
-
There's not 1 just like there isn't just 1 good cleaner for cleaning carpets.
I like www.furnitureclinic.co.uk they have some good stuff but L.T.T. are a major player also, IMO I think Chemspecs and Prochems aren't that good but don't forget about the after service you get from a professional leather cleaning supplier as the latter 2 have knowledge but the other 2 are experts. Although I'm not too sure how me a Judy stand at the moment you can tell she has a great knowledge as Ben at Furniture clinic does.

Have you tried our cleaners and if so which one?
As you are so close why not come up on one of our courses and find out how we operate. Everyone is welcome.
Dave
It really depends on what you are trying to clean as to what results you will get. Micro cracking in pigment can often be mistaken for dirt. If you have micro cracking and do not identify this it could appear that your cleaner was not working very well but this type of discolouration will not clean out with anything, this is where a microscope comes in so useful and is an essential piece of equipment.
Some cleaners will appear to do a very good job but will actually be damaging the finish which then leaves it looking very clean but will cause problems in the long run.
Cleaners should be water based and contain no oils, waxes, silicones or solvents and the safest way to use them is as a foam. Cream cleaners collect in the grain pattern and do not remove the dirt unless they are 'cleaned' off!!
Hope this helps

Hello Judy,
I have tried a few given to me by other cleaners, like everything in the cleaning profession there are ones you like and ones you don't, I don't think anyone has a monopoly on all of the best cleaning products but the idea is to strive towards them.
I'll have a look in my diary and see what's happening if I am invited to LTT would you please email me the details of your courses.
Yours repectfully

Thanks,
Judy do you use royal Mail to ship your products as i would like to order some but Liverpool Posties are on Unofficial strike..
Also how far will say a bottle of your Soft cleaner go?
Ta,
Dave.
-
We use carriers if the order is big enough (or if you want to pay extra) otherwise I'm afraid it is RM.
We would not recommend Soft Cleaner for a professional cleaner, the strong cleaner will be the one you require as a basic cleaner. If you want to give me a ring on Monday I can talk you through what you woud need.
Shaun
Will email details thorugh to you or you can look at the previous post for the dates etc.
We do our best to produce all products to cater for specific needs but they are always best seen demonstrated for the uses they were intended. You will see this if you come up, as I say everyone is welcome.
Regards
Judy

Hi Judy,
Many thanks for taking the time to go through the detail regarding Leather ID etc. I have received all the booking detail for the courses. Unfortunately the customer did not want to have the leather chair cleaned after all that so I will not have a sample for you to use on the course.
See you in November

Is there much work out there for leather cleaning, say in comparison to upholstery? ::)
-
DAve,
I have turned down/passed over a few jobs recently because I did not have to required knowledge to comfortably carry out the works.
Also in light of the special offer by LTT I figurered it was a good opportunity to carry out the training. Admittedly I only live about 10 miles from the centre.

DaveP - I've heared carpet clean customers say "not having the suite claned this time, getting a leather suite so we dont have to clean it"
They seem to think dust does not fall on it, body oils etc dont stick to it etc.
I don promote leather cleaning if I go to do carpet cleaning cause I like cleaning leather suite more then fabric suite.
however less leather cleaning then fabric - probably 1 leather to 5 fabric
-
I see, i have put some info together to leave with custys when i do there carpets, what do you charge in comparison to upholstery?
-
Dave you have mail
-
Charge the same - takes about the same time.
-
Thanks Steve, thats very good of you ;D
