We have a carpet a to clean tomorrow that has calligraphy ink spilt on it.
They had some relatives come to stay who split the ink.

Hi Ray, Do you know the fibre type you are dealing with?I believe some inks used for writting are water soluble, so a good rinse then solutions number 3 to remove whats left may work for you.
I have in the past removed smaller amounts of ink from synthetic carpets with no problems but this was the water soluble type, if not water soluble eco spotter may be of use.
