Just bought another van today to add to my fleet ;D
VW Transporter T32 SWB 1.9 TDI PD 104 PS Window van on a 56 plate, only 9 months old.
Its got all the goodies on it too
ABS aircon 5disc cd player, cruise control full electric pack , comfort seats , reverse sensors, zone alarm, rear seats.
I move in on Friday ,lol ;D
All for the princley sum of £18'758.25p
oh yes nearly forgot , they threw in 12 months road tax , a £200 roofrack and a tank of juice, just to shut me up :-X
-
Congrats Dave, I hope you'll both be very happy ;D
-
I should think they would throw that in for free, they probobly felt guilty after you paid that for it.
-
well they cost what they cost , with that spec it would be about £23k brand new.
-
Why has Dave got bigger stars under his name than us, is this favouritism?
-

would love some coaching/tips from you dave you are going places and all info on my post about commercial would be greatly appreciated. Hope you enjoy your new van, i got a 03 plate couple of weeks ago for a great price just counting down the mins now to system is fitted
-
Well done Dave. Glad things are going well.
I remember one of your post about when you first started. Something about cleaning caravans with a sponge.
I bet back then you would never have imagined the position your in now
-
got 99% of all that on an 07 mwb citroen relay for £12,500, the good news is though, your van will have a better resale value next time round
-
Great deal.
I've always been more excited about a van than a car. Anyone can drive about in a merc, but when you get that puppy fitted out exactly as you want it, signed etc, with your favourite cd on ,and some big wig on the hands free calling you Dave you'll be in seventh heaven.
-
just remember i got mud flaps and twin side sliding doors with windows in which in turn have sliding windows.
I looked everywhere and these vans aint cheap, i would of bought brand new, but there is about a 12 week waiting list.
I reckon i will get about £10k back in about 3 years, so not bad really
-
Where do you park them?
I live on an estate and have a scudo, ducato, and fiat bravo car. They are on my drive but I wonder what the neighbours think. When I was to buy on a brand new estate they told me no vans.

You are right i started with a bucket and sponge to go and clean a few chalets on a camp site, back then i had a G reg sun faded red ford sierra sapphire with 4 rusted out doors and lived in a council house,
now 9 years later i have a £250'000 house 2 vans, a 911 carrera 4 , a good income i wont say how much but it is now well over vat level.
Not bad for a poor kid who went to school with holes in his shoes.
I just thank god everyday and pinch myself to see if i am still dreaming.
Dave
p.s I have got a georgeous wife to, I am so so so so lucky
-
Nice purchase Dave.
Sounds like a proper van there. :)
-
Rog

I understand Luke, but theres no sin in the genuine pride in owning a nice work van, or a house, or an attractive wife.
Okay the porshe is a bit toad of toad hall....
-
I have all of the above,but i don`t own a porker.
-
moths & rust will consume!

All our vans will rust......shame, I love my orange Expert!!! Luke
-
Porkers are fully galvanised my friend.
I could be dead next year so its best i enjoy myself whilst i can.
toad hall !!!!!! obviously you have never had the driving experience.
Dave
-
oh yeah the veedubya is galvanised too
-
Actually I chose my Expert because along with VW's they just don't rust,! Luke
-
Dave it was not so long ago you were thinking of jacking it in, how times have changed.
Well done for sticking at it.

That was the days before wfp, them there ladders used to really depress me. lol
-
Hope you don't think I was bragging about my fiats. I just wondered where you parked them and if you had any problems or comments.
-
vg
The prker sits in the dark in my garage , the vans annoy the neighbors in the street .
-
When I got my new van customers used to make coments about how much I must be earning if I can afford a brand new van
-
I did notice courtesy of the Daily Mail website that Simon Cowell has had a week off work and purchased a Bugatti Veyron and a Bentley drop top.
Jealous ??? YES! Be nasty to your potential customers. Apparently, in his game it works. I prefer to please them all as is reasonably practicable.
DO NOT GO COLLECTING IN A BUGATTI :o 8) :o 8) 8) :o
Always show them a works vehicle - even if it's new ;D
Ben
thats so true, I got my wife a hyundai coupe and used to do the odd collection in it, people said the same to me no comparision to a bugatti but same prinsiple (spelt wrong) I then stopped staright away and used as dave said "the clapped out estate car" which I still use now, but there is one thing that can be on the good side on this, if you collect which 90% of the time I do not, that they see you are not a lowlife after beer money or drugs they see you are doing well and respect you a little more. having the van etc will be alot better IMO I will be collecting every night beeping my horn ;D
(worth a try for the curtain twitchers)

nothing at all I got bought up in one, i then lived in one for a year, nothing like that now nor my family everyone starts somewhere, and I respect many in council houses as thats where i started from (you will note i said many (you always get the odd waster in there hence why the bad name >:(
-
I'm not sure where the council house thing came from?
The main point that i was trying to make is Dave has worked hard and has grown his business from nothing.
So i think it should be an insperation to all and to see what's achievable.
The moral of the story is well done Dave and thanks for showing us what can be achieved with hard work ::)

You must admit to selves that you can't earn this kinda money unless your a doctor or something....
