Any idea how much to charge for cleaning out 650 metres of gutter? of that i would say 250 metres is 3rd floor 200metres second floor / 200 metres 1st floor. commercial work, blue chip company. method is by ladder and gutters are chock full of crap and moss and water is starting to leak over the top in certain areas. i reckon it will take 2 1/2 days for 2 of us. how much should i charge per metre? how much do you think a roofer would charge? any help appreciated. ???

250m of 3rd floor gutters with a ladder, and they are a blue chip company they should know better and so should you tell em you'll get a boom/scissor lift in and do it safely

Amate of mine did this some time back and they had to put up scaffolding, they were carrying down bucket loads. Ladders will be a waste of time and too dangerous.
The price he charged was £3000, and they paid it. It took then a whole week as there was so much muck in them. Best check before you take it on.

buy a gutter lance or vac and at the end of the job you prob wont earn anything but have a free piece of equipment

Alex,
It depends on what is in the gutters , commercial gutters are normally 40cm wide and 20cm deep. Gutter vac is not all it is cracked up to be, got one but working on it. Gutter lance yes will do the job but all that muck flying about it will be a very long mucking up afterwards and all the dirt on the walls.
If not much muck in them then yes will probably do the job.

Quote £1.50 - £2 per foot depending on how bad they are.
Also, as already has been said don't use a ladder to go to the 3rd floor!

to be honest though even if they are packed your going to save time over hand methods, so the time you save use that on clearing up, and if you can have a kid working with you to clear up, will will prob earn out of the job and have free equipment
did i similar thing a few years ago except with decorating, time to complete job was 6weeks with a roller, we bought a spray machine and did it in 2weeks, and still had loads left over and a great piece of kit which has paid for its self again and again
