Been onsite the otherday and was told in january to get on site you must have a CPCS card, i have looked over internet and read alittle, just wondered if anyone has this card or considering getting one.
I was told you wont be allowed on site without one, or it will be made difficult for the individual window cleaner,
Thankyou.

card is called cscs cost £17.50 basic health and safety test you need to get 35 out of 40 correct here's a link http://www.cscs.uk.com/RunScript.asp?p=ASP\Pg0.asp

nice one ryan,
where to you go ? do you have to be tested, sorry if i sound thick, its been a hard day.

I went to price a job and they would not let me on the site unless I showed them my card. So I did not get the job.
It worked out at about £25 for it, I told them I was Safe contractor ( that cost over £100 but was not good enough

When I asked about it there were 2 ways of doing it , at a centre or a mobile classroom.First you apply and they send you a booklet with all the information you need to know in it , then you study it and then take a multiple choice test.

the actual cost of the card and test is £42.50. Be advised and buy the book from smiths, it makes the test a lot easier. Next tip is do the one for a cleaner, as they dont actualy do one for a window cleaner. Dont take the test as a frequent visitor as the questions are a living nightmare
