Hi all
I have got a job to quote Monday morning for a local day centre for adults with learning difficulties. I'm presuming it's low profile commercial type carpet. The problem is I don't have a bonnet system as yet . All I have is my truckmount, and a envirodry machine which I have never used to clean carpets just use it to aggitate with .
My question is what sort of result will I get using HWE on this sort of carpet
Any Help appreciated
Thanks John

I wouldn't worry, you should get a good result using your truckmount. We do childrens nurseries on a regular basis with a truckmount due to the amount of spillages and urine present and get excellent results. If its low profile then clean it at 500psi and there should be no problems with wick back which can sometimes happen with portables. Worth doing a good vacuum first.

They clean up a dream with a Glide fitted, John.

Thank you John, Thats the sort of replie I won't. what about priceing never done this sort of work 25p per square foot does that sound alright
Thanks John

John, thats within the average range I ever hear which is anything from 15-30p I tend to drop a little if it's a larger open plan area. eg 700m2 I charge at £.150 per m (or 15p per sq ft) as it's good money, can be done in one day and the logistics of the job are simple.

Hi John
One chemical i always bring with me when doing comercial carpets
is prochems traffic lane cleaner brillant for the really dirty ones
when your HWE.
Mix it with hot water and let it sit for about 10 - 15 minutes
takes a lot of the work out of it.

I agree with Davey. Traffic clean from prochem is superb. Rinse with extraction pro for extra power (assume you can use that through a TM)

A glide on my porti makes a huge difference on low profiles. As Dave Lee says "Clean-It-Up" a dream with a TM/glide combo :)
Safe and happy cleaning :)

If I use the t/m on low profile I always run the bonnet over to make sure don't get wick back but thats just me :-[
