Title: Concrete Slabs and Render
Post by: AquaMagic on October 07, 2007, 01:18:55 pm
Hello, my bro in law, laid some concrete slabs and has since build a small wall which he rendered with Sharp sand and concrete, now its all dry he wants to clean the slabs down, he has access to a powerfull pressure washer from work but wondered if we need and chemicals, and would a wirebrush be too abrasive?

many thanks

Dene

Did some with a cold pressure washer and it came up fine.

used a bit of watered down brick acid, left it for 10 minutes then washed it off, took a while though

I did some chemical free pressure cleaning of slabs, recently and they came out fine.

Be Better if you had hot water on it.

If you are using acid, dilute it down, but before you put it on , wet the area down so the flags dont absorb it.
