Crop sprayer.

Has the building got its own craddle, or would you use a picker
-
Couple of million anyway, but if you're desperate for a sale, I'll go to a couple of hundred ;D
-
Pole it, but would need a good goose neck offset for the light diffusers. Top of my head, £6-700 maybe more.
-
I think you are a bit low with your price there Jeff
-
Ahh but I am competitive ;D
Its was only a 3 second opening shot without studying it and to start the ball rolling, ok then lets round it up to £999
-
I havent counted or studied the picture but at a glance I would say 900-1000, maybe more, Luke
-
Possibly another 80fter Steve ?
-
a bit out of my league
-
Think posative , nothing is out of your league. Any info or help you need is only a click away.
I would use a picker, a couple of moves for each side 2 days work. The thing to find out is do you need to block off the road to use a picker
-
Yes, I reckon the top of the higher building is 80ft and the lower building 52ft.
The round part is a harness climb out of the window job :P
I was planning to use a boom lift for the 60ft to 80ft part and pole the rest.
-
You can see in the first pick that there is a layby for the picker to stand in. What I am worried about is poling the 52ft section as the angle I would need would take me out into the road.
We would probably do it at 4am on a Saturday morning
ANyone had any experience of coning off lanes or closing roads.
-
Whats the hire costs for an 80ft picker ? presumably for a day ?
-
John
This job would keep me awake at night for at least a week , for each biggest so far job, I get really worried and find
it hard to sleep, once i have conquered each job i feel more confident for every similar size job.
Now this one for me i would have a few problems to overcome.
1, using a cherrypicker , never done it also the height would terrify me so it would be one for the staff.
2, closing roads etc, never done that also
3, working out a way to the tower, is that height feesible of a mewp
4, working on the roof to clean the side of the tower.
5, wouldnt even know where to start with the price.
I am not at the level of competence technically to take on that building, I have got plenty half that size
but nothing anywhere that big, i know my limitations, maybe one day, I just need a few more steps before taking
on something of this scale

It`s all very well telling the person who gets the job to pole it Jeff, what you forgot
To tell them was to use their backpack to go with it! With Alex`s SuperLite 2 it`s
The perfect combination.

Crop sprayer.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *gasp* HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
A definate coffee-out-the-nose moment.
:D:D:D:D:D

Lewis, its a fascinating problem and a great talking point, really enjoying it good on Steve for keeping us all entertained on a Sat night.
Maybe I would put the water on the top floor or roof and let gravity help with the flow and not much power needed.
It is possible to pole it if you know how.

One thing you have to take into account when pricing for any high level cleaning is not all people are insured to work at X height . So right away you can charge that bit more.
I use these for my pickers,
http://www.a4access.com/
I would think a 34 mtr would do you , the price you see on there web site is the price you pay . No delivery or extras.
I would do at least the top few floors early morning then there is not a lot of people / trafffic around .
With that size machie it will get you into the difficult areas .
If you go to,the Council and act all dumb about what you need to do about closing off the road, they will love it and bend over backwards to help you , because it makes them look clever .
You have to think that most of the rooms could have people in and would not like waking up in the middle of the night .
Or is it offices
-
Anyone explain what the bar things are at cill level on the lower floors ?
-
It's a commercial, so no problem with the time.
Only thing is, the road is a rat run when the pubs shut so I am thinking 3 or 4am over two mornings for the highest stuff. The back is quiet.
The tower section has ledges that are designed to be walked on and a safety line installed. We are supposed to climb out and walk around. It's a long way down :o
I will contact the council and see what they say. Only thing is, there is a fee payable to put anything on a road side in aberdeen. A skip, a cherry picker etc.
-
Dave,
awake the night before the biggest job so far, how did you get on with that overhanging glass roof you posted?
Clive

I have no experience at all in this kind of job but i would say absail(if you can?or have the staff to?) maybe three days two people £1500-£1800??
I would love to know how far out i am!!
-
Ron
I dont post prices, but you are around the figure I was thinking of

Whether I can make it pay is another matter!
