My water in my Tank is pure, so when I fill my backpack I use a small 12v caravan water pump, fills the backpack in about 1 minute.

I just disconnect my hose reel and use the hose that would usually connect to it.
-
trouble is my hoses have valves so when they are disconnected they stop flow, luke

add a new pump new outlet etc if you are using a pack pack all the time will save you money in the long run.

luke a female outlet connected to a open male connector will provide your flow, with my set-up in the pic its 1/2" hose from pump to female stop connector male to male on/ off flow control then the patch hose as you can see and ready for a pumped supply to the backpack.

4ft long std hose with male connector on one end and nothing on the other.
Plug the male into your outlet where you would connect your hose reel, hang the other into the backpack, turn vari/pump to full. It takes 4mins 20.secs to fill backpack.
I only use the backpack for a couple of jobs so no real probs but if using more frequently 4 mins 20 secs will add up during a day so would use 25 ltr barrels and decant them into backpack.

I also use a 12v submersible pump from caravan shop. I paid a little extra to get a higher flow rate. It fills the backpack from empty in exactly 90 secs.
