As i said in an earlier post, very quiet. Booked a few more in this week now but had a call just now. Lady wanted a stairs and small landing and half a bed room to be cleaned. She said she had called at least 10 companies who said the job was too small and not worth their while. Well its certainly worth my while. I'm travelling 20 miles to do it for £45-£50, maybe take just over an hour or so. I'm quite happy with that. So am i the only quiet carpet cleaner in South Wales :'(

You may find as you talk to her you can mension extra work is cheaper cos you are set up. She may go for it. Worth a try. Plus ask for referrals etc.

I was 'dragged' up in Oakdale but left there in 1978. Aways looked forward to playing Blackwood whilst at school because we always won ;D

Dont forget though a 40 mile round trip would be around £8 in diesel for a big van. Say its 1 hour total travel. So thats £18.50 per hour before other expenses.
Thats why its not worth your while.

PS. however if your sitting in the house with nothing else to do you might as well. Try an upsell protector etc.

Chris some serious advice.
If you want some regular income whilst promoting your carpet cleaning cleaning business at the same time then get into window cleaning.
It worked for me. If you do a good job on something as basic as window cleaning then the potential customer will (1) already know you and (2) by virtue of doing good work on their windows will let you loose on their carpets etc.
