Title: varistream ticking
Post by: Pureandclean on October 02, 2007, 06:40:12 pm
Got to last house today, and last window , and the water flow dissapeared, so went to van to check what was happening, and varistream was flashing and the pump just ticking very slowly.
So squeegied last window, and went home.
Checked batteries on van, then put them on charge, one by one, both fully charged, so checked all wiring, and eventually by-passed varistream and pump worked straight away.
What do you think has happened to varistream, has it blown, and if so can they be fixed. It has only been on the van about 6 weeks.
Any advice guys ? ??? ???

Check the connections on the varistream first, the clamps that come with the varistream are rubbish they should be replaced with bullet connectors male and female.

Yes, when I by-passed the varistream, the pump worked o.k.
Can't understand why it should go whilst I was working, and why it would choose the last house and the last window.

strange normally if the light is flicking and varistream is "ticking " usually means its not pulling enough from the battery so its needs charging?
