Title: New Fussy Customer
Post by: supernova77 on October 02, 2007, 12:07:40 am
Today we did a first clean for a new customer (windows £40, gutters £110).

I was WFP'ing the last top window and she comes out... This was the conversation:

Her - "You will go round and dry off the top windows won't you?"

Me - "No... With WFP you don't have to blah blah blah".

Her - "I want you to go round and dry them off, I have never had them done like this before and I don't see how they can dry clear".

Me - "What would be the point in me using this (wfp) and then going round AGAIN on a ladder drying them all?

Her - "Well I would like you to dry them all off".

Me - "I'm not going to... However I'm so confident that they will be ok that I'll come back in 24 hours to collect the payment (the whole £150!), once you've had a chance to see them dry off ok".

Her - "OK then".

I'm not sure if I have done the right thing... But there was no way I was going to go round drying all the top ones off!

What would you guys have done?

Andy

PS. Any problems with her paying me and she'll need a new windscreen for her BMW M3!  ;)

I probably would have done it much like you except that I would have added that it sometimes takes a couple of cleans to get to top quality standard.

Thanks for the reply shiner... Good point!

I'm waiting for the phone call from her to moan about smears etc... If she messes me about she's dropped!

I normally explain that it might take more than one clean and that if she has any problems to ring me and I'll come round and sort it

Ooohhh!
Risky on a first clean.:-\

I've lost a few because of the first clean.
You can rinse as much as you like and they look perfect...but they still probably won't be.
