Could be a nightmare. If you get water into the grooves it may cause swelling and will look awful. Tell him to get the builders to clean it and if its crap get them to fit new.

vacuum it!! then get a stiff brush into the grooves, then vac again. Then a light mop.

agree with john, if it's the builders fault then builder cleans it. drop sheets don't cost much.

get the builders to do it, cos we all know how expert they are at cleaning things ::) ::)

even if they get a company in to do it for them will they be here this week? probably not.

do it yourself and then its done & forgotten about.

I think that the builders should be responsible for either leaving the floor as they found it, or paying up for someone else to do it.

You can often tell a bad tradesman by the mess they leave behind!

I remember about nine years ago, i borowed a Ninja from a mate in Newcastle and it exhausts downwards unlike my own which was out the side ! needless to say the moisture had got between the laminate and had blistered, cost me a new floor and was the old type that was stuck together, stayed well ayay from it since and always put down a thick plastic sheet
