Title: Method Statement
Post by: gary hall on September 28, 2007, 09:37:23 am
Hi Guys - I have been doing mainly domestice work for the last 6 months or so, and have been asked to quote for a commercial company providing care for the elderly -- BUT part of thier requirements is that I provide them with a method stayement for carpet cleaning.
Do anyone out there know of a site where I can download  a template for this. Or if anyone has one already in place if they could pass it on I would be most grateful.
Thanks

Hi Pete (ex - Lands) - thanks for your time - I have put some details on my profile as per request - having a mare trying to get my email to show up from hidden which is why I put my email address on the board.
What other information do you need.
Thanks
Gary

The method statement is what it says and a bit more.

How are you going to do it

How long will it take

How many people (contact info for next of kin and nearest A&E)

What possible risks are posed by method to a, you/your staff, employees of site, general public.

Cossh assessment

Any risks from odours to people (ie allergy sufferers)

Thats just for starters

Have had feedback on Steve's risk assessment doc  and it is very positive. Mainly because it contains all elements (except likely allergy reactions) and is very simple to read. This is what large Co's are looking for. They are only doing this to cover themselves but those who want to protect themselves will actually think these things through.

Steve, I am not being condescending but my brother puts these things together for a living (for multi million pound projects) and he was impressed.
