Hi
They are a mixed bag in b and q.... just checked them out...
anyone else know... could do with a few spares cheap, even jets.
cheers.
-
or you can try your local motor factors, most stock them now,
-
nope , checked them out too,,, the ones in b & q are mixed and not one is the right size ???
-
154 people who read this topic dont know where to get y pieces from or jets... apart from the usual sites who charge the earth...
what does that tell us ??? ;)

The cheapest way of buying Y pieces is by the 10,000 units. Get them designed to your specifications and have them manufactured in India or China they will only cost you about 5p each.
The whole exercise will have only cost you about £1000 and about 25 hours on the phone, email and fax. It's got to be worth it!
When you have done this you will still only be able to charge the measly £1.05 that we sell them for, but on the bright side you will have enough to last you for about 10 years of retail sales. ;)

Hi Alex,
i understand your view from a business prospective, but i am enquiring as a consumer as to where we could buy them cheaper, after all if some stores can sell ten in a bag for £2 for example, im sure there must be something to work on from that,
or even an alternative, where three tapered ends fits all hose types which we use.
Gary.

Yes, of course. If you don't find anywhere cheaper and you want to buy a larger quantity, I'm sure we can do a deal on them for you.
-
Thanks Alex,
i bet you think, this guy is so tight. ::)

I was once like you!
Before we started supplying I used to maintain a large spares department for our WFP equipment (which is why we started supplying as most local window cleaners knew this and would ring up to buy bits from me)and I would always hunt around for the absolute best deal going. It became very important getting the best deal on Hozelock end-stops as we used to go through about 10 a year (ebay used to be a good place for them, in the days when we still used such things on our hoses!).
I always think that us window cleaners are one of the most careful (not tight) professionals when it comes to spending money! Why spend more than you have to. :)
