Bump it back fella. I do.......give or take a day or two. People expect a bit of versatility in our job. Day early, day late, they dont care so long as you dont take the.............  ;)

I keep mine within a day if I can. The exeption being the messers, sod them they can wait and I do them if I feel like it or if there is rain forecast.

I do mine on a weekly basis and telephone them the night before.

Yjis way I can sort the round into compact areas.

Works with most but you do get some customers who can only be done on a certain day, and if I can't do them on that day, I put them into next weeks work.

Why do you phone them the night before?

That gives them the chance to say "not this time thanks".  >:(

We work on a 4 week rota, however if it slips then the whole lot slips, ie mondays work gets done on a tuesday, tuesdays on a wednesday, etc.

Due to new work coming in, weather conditions, holidays, sickness, etc, we are sometimes working up to 4/5 days behind the day when we should be doing them.  Is anyone bothered, unless they are commercial........no!!

Due to the weather we have just done last Fridays work today!  Yes we have lost income, but you cannot fit two days work into one day!

My customers are cleaned on the day that I have scheduled for them each and every 4/8/12 weeks depending on what rotation was agreed.

The reasons I telephone the night before are

1  They can unlock backgates
2  If they won't be in then they leave the money in a place we have agreed on, this way I collect 95% on the cleaning day, instead of waiting for the postman or me going back again.
3  The majority really like this service and because of the telpehone package I have its does not cost me anything.
4  As for them saying "not today thank you", well they can also say that when you turn up and then you have wasted your time and money, I will accept a not today, but they have to have a good reason, if it happen more than twice then they are binned.

Fair enough :)

I only phone the ones that I need to leave their gates open... It would wind me up ringing round ALL my customers the night before.

I do the same kinda thing as the phone calls but its a 'txt service' only for the ones that need reminding about leaving the gate unlocked.  i simply send them a txt the day b4 saying 'Message from your window cleaner': Your windows are due for there monthly clean tomorrow.

But some of the 'older' customers don't like all the new gadgets out lol... so they ask me to post a leaflet through the day b4 reminding them  >:( pain in the bum

Put it back in the day it was originally due. Remember the weather will play a part in when you can clean sometimes.

We stipulate to our customers the week we are due not the day, this gives us 5 days flexibility to account for weather and slow work etc.....
