Title: DI running off customers taps
Post by: * mike RH on September 24, 2007, 08:56:42 am
Please tell me what you think......

I've set up a DI trolley system with 100m of microbore and 2 DI vessels.

I know a lot of guys running DI only still have a tank in the van and work from that.

Does anyone get away with just connecting to customers taps?

How do they react? Are they OK with it?

Bearing in mind I do mostly ground level shops, I'll only be using it maybe twice a week on a high few jobs.

Thanks for your advice.

2 points here
1, you will get through a lot of resin that way
2, customers on water meters may no like it

3. If you rely only on that, you'll have a problem when there is no outside tap on the house

no prob if they agree to it, bear in mind they may have really hard water. test various customers water supplies with your tds meter to find out.
