Martin,
Solutions Eco Spotter, mist-sprayed and agitated with a cotton towel or Prochem B108 Fabric Restorer normally solve this problem, but it does put up a bit of a fight.

John,
thanks for replying with the advice.
i have a chemical called stainaway which contains 'Potassium Persulphate' any ideas whether this would be a safe on this fabric.
I will of course check for adverse reaction on an out of the way area
cheers

Martin,
I have not used the product, so can only comment that the pre-test you mentioned is a prerequisite.

ok thanks for the help John

hi
if it is stainaway by extracta(powder) then this is quite a good product and should remove your stain ok, but before using it use just your detergent as norm to see if this works. for the fabric you are cleaning i recommend chemspec haitian cotton cleaner as it is safe to use on all wet cleanables and gives excellent results, i use it on nearly of my upholstery jobs and it is oner of my essentials.
does anyone else use this product or are there any others which would be a better substitute?

Shaun,
Does not this product contain bleaching agents?

Hi John
The Haitain cotton cleaner contains a reducing bleach and should be used with care after the usual tests of course.
It does have its uses but I tend to use the shampoo version rather than the powder if and when I need it
