I'm new to W/C and allot of the houses i see would be allot easier to clean the top windows using wfp as they are hard to reach with ladders due to roofs over the ground window and bay windows.
I'm not sure which way to go - DIY or buy one ready made, what would you recommend guys?

I went DIY,.. used gear that was just hanging around in my shed mostly,.. the pump, controller and battery was all I had to buy! I have some pics on another forum,.. e-mail me if you want a link.

This is a nice example of a DIY trolley. The need to reduce the size and weight is such an important factor. We are using the Freedom MK1, which is fairly weighty (including battery), and its quite bulky. We met someone recently who showed us a slimmed Freedom and it was similar to this one.
How long did it take you to source parts, assemble, etc?

battery box with pump and battery-wintecs
sack truck-b&q
hoses and fittings-b&q
6 blue 25 litre barrels-car boot sale
took a week to get all parts and about 1 hour to assemble.

Just bought a 18ltr shurflo backpack and 15' pole from Cheantech, whole lot cost around £250 with 4 x 25ltr barrels.
It was only bought as a backup to go in a spare van, but I think from first impressions that it will be getting used quite a bit!
