Title: Pain in the elbow
Post by: MagicPatch on September 21, 2007, 01:30:01 am
hi,

I have been getting a pain on the side of my elbow joint recently and it has been getting worse. Someone mentioned it may be repetative strain injury from constant vacuuming etc. Has anyone else experienced this?

Brian.

I have, usually after drawing the vaccum cleaner back and bashing my arm into a wall/door/wardrobe/any obstruction.

You never get used to that.

Seriously though, i am in constant agony most days - i attribute this to old age and all the bending and twisting i do when cleaning. I'm no expert but i wasnt sure RSI would affect us cleaners as we vary the tasks we do?

I have been waking up with sore elbows recently.

Although the tasks are varied almost all of them do involve movement of this elbow joint in a similar way I think.

I would advise ...see a doctor....it could be a hundred other things. ;)

HI

Guys I have had this in the past and it was the vacuuming.

I started using my left arm, stretching and flexing the joint, using tiger balm or ice gel. It went after a few weeks and has never been back

Good luck

If it is your own business - it is not RSI.

If you work for someone else it is!

Hope this helps...?

Good advice Martin, I'll get some of that Tiger Balm.

If I use my other arm, won't it feel like someone else is doing it?  ;D
