Anyone Advertising on Radio or TV if so what quanity of jobs do you get? and what does it cost to advertise?
-
Was in Truro last year and heard a carpet cleaning company advertising on the radio, cant remember who they were though.
-
We had a radio station do up this sample ad but we had did no go for it.
We were not sure of the returns. We ran with a cheaper option ad but did not get a single call. We have stuck with internet marketing.

A guy local to me used to advertise on the radio, he was tied in for a while and it cost a fortune for little return.
Derek west is hopefully going to advertise tacca (www.tacca.co.uk) on t.v. if he gets enough cleaners signed up. He's looked into prices etc so I'm sure he could fill you in

Bryden Enterprises (John Bryden) advertise on nevis Radio in the Highlands.
He tells me it took 6-8 months for it to eventually kick in. He has now run it for a few years.

Thing about TV and Radio its firing ads at everyone. Internet marketing still has the best ROI by targeting people searching for your service - if
1. Google places rank 1
2. Google AdWords rank1
3. Organic Google Rank 1

We've advertised on local radio since January and have had probably the busiest 8 months since we've been going,
It isn't cheap though and wouldn't recommend it for new start ups, it's still only part of your marketing mix and most of our customers know if us anyway so is more a reminder to them , our ad is used to drive people to our website and normally they will contact us from there,
Think you'd have to at least do it for a year before you know what real results you are getting from it

Thats very interesting Steve,
the costs in our area would be prohibitive, what are your local station charging you and do they insist you sign up for a given period,
-
Don't want to say exact figures on here but equates to about one average size job a week, they stipulate a 12 month contract,
It's not cheap by any means but affordable if your fairly established and your prices are right,
