if i was searching say google: what would i type in to find wfp suppliers (compnaies that sell the systems and equipment etc) and also what would you type in to find a window cleaner that uses water fed pole work, hope you understand what I mean this time, english people dont seem to understand me either lol
-
what windowashers means is, what do they call wfp in USA, for example do they call it "reach and clean"?
Anyway, what type of system do you use? What poles do you use? Luke
-
There are only a couple companies selling WFP equipment. Most are selling all window cleaning equipment and WFP in addition. We sell strictly WFP equipment. We have decided to invest in this technology and believe in the end most others will as well.
Manufacturers in the USA include.
Ionics-makes systems, sells Excel poles.
Eagle power- Makes systems, sells Excel poles.
Ettore- makes systems, sells Excel poles.
Unger-makes Carbontec
I may be missing one or two.
Those are the major guys.
http://www.window-cleaning-net.com/ this is a good link to find suppliers, manufacturers, and window cleaners.
What are you looking in the USA for?

We call it WFP.
I use Facelift poles for anything other then ground level. For ground level I tell people to just build their own.
I built my own RO/DI system.

how do you build your own? do you have any pics at all? and where do you buy the things to build your own?
Thank you for your time from over the pond ;)

I have a supplier here that I use for membranes. I have found a membrane that will produce 2500 gallons of water when you have inlet PSI of only 80. At 50 PSI it will produce 2000 gallons of water per day.
System is as follows...
Sediment---carbon---RO membrane---DI cartridge---PURE WATER.
In the USA we use water on demand. Most systems available produce water on demand. We have water taps on the exterior of most domestics and when we arrive we pull an inlet hose to the house that hooks up to our system and then 3/8" hose from the system to the poles.
-
that sound so time consuming comapred to just pulling hose out of van, Luke
-
Pulling 2 hoses vs. 1 is more time consuming yes. But on average you only pull about 30 or 40' of hose from the 1st hose. Most of our houses have a lot more windows then yours do as well so its not that bad.
In fact, it is rare in my area to have a house that takes less then an hour to WFP the outside.
-
US, where have you found to be the best deal for resin
-
Resin in the USA is costly compared to the UK. As a result most people do not use it to refill cartridges on their own. Most people will actually use a water treatment service company to regenerate their resin.
My set up utilizes housings, much like RO membranes, that are stuff full with mixed bed resin. When the resin is exhausted I toss it out and put in a new cartridge.

I have used wfps since 1998 or 99...don't remember exactly.
Don't think there are a lot of "Yanks" on this board.
