Hi All
just picked a envirodry machine up second hand . I bought It for aggitating, My question is which brushes should I be useing . The ones that are on it now are white will they do the job?
Thanks John

White is the stanard brush,if doing wool carpets I would use the gold brushes & commercial either the black or black/white brushes
-
What about commercial wool carpets steve ?
-
Depends how trashed they are personally I would try the white first if no success with them then go to the black/white but watch carefully that it does not damage the fibres.
-
Cheers Steve is it a lot of messing about changing them
-
No a couple of allen keys take the guard off slip the brushes off
-
On my Envirodri the rod holding the brushes in place just push out - I use a screwdriver to start them off them I can pull 'em out by hand.
Reverse for going in but can be a bit of a pain at times to locate the rod in the hole at the other end - if you find an easy way of doing it - please tell me!!
5 different brushes in total - black, black/white, white, gold/white, gold. Black is hardest and gold softest. About £85 pair +vat. Should last long time.

Sorry to butt in, but how likely is pile damage with the rotating cylindrical brush machine ? May one assume it's negligible if the correct brushes for the carpet type are used ? I still need to know a bit more from experienced users before putting up me £840 for a new one !

If you use the wrong brushes on say a wool carpet damage could be quite servere.
