I've had both and I wished I'd have kept the Rotovac, it does take a long time to get used to but when you do the results are sublime, the larger extracta will cover more carpet quick from a commercial point of view.

Rotovac will work with 50 to 500 p.s.i. however the extracta scrubba will work with 50-100psi.

Scrubba uses brushes to lift and scrub the pile. Works a treat with a portable on woven and tufted carpets. Is a bit thirtsy with a small portable. The scrubba mini is the one to have if you do mostly residential.

I used the rotovac a few times and could see it having its uses for larger areas, however for residiential I fould it to awkward. I could get just as good results in the same time without it. provided you prespray and agitate properly.
