Used my new 30 ft pole for the first time today. I managed most with the 18 footer, but needed the big 'un for 7 or 8 windows. Good golly, Miss Molly, don't know if I will cope. I have really underestimated the strength needed. And before you all shout "wimp", I'm fit, strong and can handle it :) It's more, do I want to handle it? And I'm concerned that I will get sloppy with it cos I'm tired and do a bad job or put it through a window. Do you think I should persevere for a while or reduce it tp 24 ft to make it a bit more user friendly?? By the way, it's an omnipole.

Hi,
i have used a 40 ft pole from day one for all upstairs and beyond....
i just keep taking all the work other beers cannot reach :D
but i am now looking for a 24 ft pole...
i just use it and forget about the weight... to be honest when i fisrt started i thought everyone had these lol
.. just use it when you have to thats what i intend to do...
oh and i am slim 6ft and in my 40s... but my arms have grown lol

Gazza, I'm also slim and 6 ft, but I'm in my mid forties :( :( How much pole height do i have to reduce per year until I'm on bungalows only?? ;) ;) ;) ;)

lol... look at "30 ft beast " post
i am going for that at that price.. we do most of up and down and keep our giant poles for as and when.

What pole is it? What weight is it?
Have you considered one of Jeffs famous "Featherlight" setups?
-
What you need dude is a 30ft carbon facelift, removable sections so you only use the sections that you need, light, rigid & very strong. try mine if you like. life's a dream.
IMO i would bin the omnipole, useless & with the old sash windows in our area you guaranteed to bust a few, been there, done it. go carbon. ;)
