Title: Do you do painting?

Got asked this today, because 'you've got ladders'.

'I can do the lower ones but how much would you charge for the upstairs windows'? she said. ' I have the sandpaper, pads and stain, just need someone with ladders' ??? ??? ???

So.... 5 upstairs windows to sand down and give 2 coats of stain..... how much would you have charged?

i do painting as well, i wouldnt do em now for less than £150 - £200

We offered to do them this Saturday for £100,... she nearly fainted !!!

I think she was looking to get them done for £50/£60 ish.

Ah well......Saturday lay in  ! :)

ive done some painting, seems like an ace idea, then you do the first window and then the next and think ive had enough! it WILL take ALL day, happy with £100 a day? i could do £100 easy in 3 hours on windows...again...is it worth it?

charge well then yeh suppose it is.

I would have charged my hourly rate plus £10 per hour on top and charge by the hour: 1 becuase dont need the work and painting can be a nightmare 2: because they need someone and if they are willing to pay it is worth doing if you have the time spare.  ;)

i would of said less if you didnt have to give them a good rub down,
i used to be a painter & decorator with a mate and some jobs can be a nightmare to quote on, i just done a out side of a thatched cottage in masonary paint and stained the windows in black then bitumen along the bottom, took 4 days and earnt me a grand,,,, nice work if you can get it,
i only take these jobs on for the end of each month when i have done all my monthly window cleaning, they dont come along that offten.

£50-£60 you would be better off staying in bed.... i would.
