Hi all,

I bought one of the Lidl imersion pumps this morning and it's a powerful piece of kit. Using a 1" internal bore hose it fills my 25 ltr containers in about 20secs.
It has a one way valve that prevents water flowing back into the tank when you switch off but it will allow water to continue to syphon so you might want to fit a tap in the hose.

Hope this helps

Hi m.b.s.

Sorry for delay in replying.

My 1" hose came from a garden pond equipment supplier in Essex (Swallow Aquatics).  It was on a rack displaying Hozelock equipment and 4mtrs cost me less than a tenner if memory serves. I've since seen it at two other stores selling pond equipment too so it shouldn't be too difficult to find. They also sell the hozelock taps to fit the hose for about a fiver.

The hose went straight on the Lidl pump though you will probably want a jubilee clip to hold it in place when you fire up as it produces some serious pressure.

Hope this helps.
