Post by: John Gregory on September 02, 2007, 02:01:28 pm
Hi all , went to do a quote yesterday at a house where the kids have been sliding down the stairs on there bums wearing jeans, blue dye on the noses of the stairs , the carpet is a white 80/20 already advised customer that there is not much chance of removing dye but she as asked me to give it a go . I'm thinking Red RX, what do you guys suggest, any help appreciated.

Thanks  John

The problem is one of crocking rather than dye bleed. Red Rx may not be the way to go.  It's concievable that the problem may be reduced with an "anal" attention to pre-vaccing, followed by your complete HWE system. A reducing agent may cure the problem and will be easier to administer than the process of Rx with towel and iron.

Safe and happy cleaning :)

I think 'anal' attention on the kids backside would be far better IMO
