Title: HELP!! water in psi indicator
Post by: absolutecleaning on August 31, 2007, 07:24:44 pm
have just got my brand new powr flite home after its first outing and on taking it from the back of the car have noticed it has got fluid (presumably water in the gauge for the pump and wont go over 200psi.

the trouble shooting sheet with the machine says

"problem - pump pressure low

possible cause - clogged screens on

solution - unscrew strainer strainer in solution tank remove lint and any other foreign material from screen"

i think i've done this

any ideas please

I doubt that's it's water.

All the guages we use have a damping fluid which helps to reduce/almost eliminate the oscillation of the pointer. You'll also have an air bubble in there. Without the fluid it would probably shake itself apart.

Safe and happy cleaning :)

Its a type of glycerine, keeps the pointer steady as Ken says.
