What Technique would you use to clean a oriental cashmere rug, it mayhave silk in on  it as well? Also what would you charge it is 6x8 thank you for your help?

Depends upon testing.  The silk may be you biggest challange.

If your not sure pass it one to someone who has experience in this field.

Cashmere is the soft wool, so a rug made from this will be all wool or as the percentage on the label.

Kashmir Rugs can be made from cashmere wool, or silk or even rayon.

Is it a flat weave or with a pile? Might have a painted border which can bleed......................

If you don't know what you are doing, walk and get some training for this type of work.

Oriental rugs can be a different kettle of fish to our everyday rugs.

Cleaned similer rug 2 months ago  larger  valued at £13.000.00 hand dri cleaned £180  and that was too cheap took me about 3hours of hard work  SIMON

the rule of thumb for pricing on this quality rug is 10%  of the rug value for a clean.
owevr £1300 would have been a bit high.
Would charge £700 . ;)
