I think it's time to upgrade the old powerplus and have been considering leasing, Does anyone on the board lease there machine??
I can't afford a new one but feel the powerplus isn't going to last out much longer,
The machines I'm considering are the Powr-Flite Perfect Heat from cleansmart or the rhino (if I can get the upgraded version) from restormate.
Both companies offer leasing and does anybody know about the tax benifets regarding leasing??
Cheers all

Andy, You get 100% relief on the total cost. Get slammed for interest though

Pete, even at the present rate, money is cheap. You obviously haven't been around that many years

Does anyone know the practicality of leasing ie. are you covered for breakdowns etc?? or do you get to purchase at a knock down price at the end of term??

Your right, Just half way through my apprentice with a carpet cleaning firm. I have just learnt how to attach the rinse hose. Another 10 years and I'll be pre-treating. I have a great future. I know your jealous because you did'nt get the start I'm getting but when I'm 50 my wife said she'll talk me through the ph scale as a special treat.

Hi
You should be able to borrow money at around 6%.
The only downside is that you usually need to borrow £5000 and above to get that rate.
There are also Credit Cards that you can transfer a LIFETIME Balance to, at a similar rate.
Its IMPORTANT to buy on another Credit Card and then transfer the balance and dont buy anything else on that card.
Dave
PS I personally dont like leasing, if you borrow the money the equipment is yours.
HP and leasing you dont own it till the final payment.

Get rid of the missus and you can buy what you want and it will still work out cheap!

Be a Tart!
A credit card tart. Get 1 or 2 0% credit cards. This means your loan is FREE. Deals are becoming less than 12 months grace now but still around.
A couple of months before the 0% expires and you still have a balance you can tarnsfer to a new 0%
I would advise trying to pay off asap though.
I bought my Ninja and most of my equipment this way. Probably have saved £600/700 in interest + the satisfaction of getting one over the financial institutions.
