are you just starting to build your round up or do you have a bit of custom to start with . the reason im asking is that you say you need a 500ltr tank and a static one at home . i myself have a 1000ltr at home and tranfer in to my van . which from reading you post is what you will be doing . im selling all mine soon as im moving house and where im moving to im restricted to what i can & cant use . so im having to look at other ways i can continue . so i will be bying what i need . which will leave me with a complete set up for sale . but it will be a few weeks away just waiting for legal stuff .

James,
Personally I would try and stay in full time employment if you have that for the time being and everytime you get paid buy something new. Build your round up at the weekends. I left my job to set up and found that really quickly money was drying up and I wasn't generating much money. Its best to have a few months of canvassing experience behind you because when starting fresh you need to learn a few new skills. Pricing as well is another factor that I needed practice at, when I started out I was pricing hoping to walk off with £7.00 per hour in wages when realistically window cleaners charge a lot more than that and its taken about 6 months to bump the underpriced jobs around.

I agree! first thing is to get your prices set properly if your cheap low to get work because you need money i understand this but after a few months becausae the price is so low you wont want to clean it anymore you will moan each time it comes around and its your own fault.
Also you will make mistakes of under pricing it took me about a year to get it down to a fine art and i have now. every single job i do i thnk it will take this amount of time and im bang on or in some cases faster.
personaly i think you carnt get a perfect pricing/cost quide for about a year to 2 years into the tade - based on your accounts.

yes east sussex
Whereabouts in E. Sussex are you James, Im in Eastbourne and drove to Wimbledon to buy my pure water set up and put in my van myself, with a diagram from the seller (cleaning spot), help from W/C's on here and a friend. What others are saying about pricing is right IMO too,(don't sell yourself short, just to gain 'AN INCOME'),as most of the work I bought was under priced, and I was bitter by the 1st week ( I blame this on W/C's on this forum, they earn waaaaaaay too much ;D),I have lost a few, but the customers that were OK with the new price, and new ones even this out.
Good Luck mate
