thinking of buying a van but cannot decide which one it is mainly for domestic thought of using my own car ford mondeo but the boot is 10 cm too small for a 150 tank lenght any ideas
-
If you're full time, 150lt isn't going to go very far. To be safe, and not have to keep going home to fill up, I think you should aim for 400lt.
For this size tank you would be looking at a Scudo/Despatch size.

the best van by far is a citreon c15 odd looking but cheap as chips with great 1900 deisel and bigger and larger payload than escort .mines an 53 plate and only cost me £1500, and is mint 55mpg

i used to have a citreon c15
very nice vans, nippy as hell
the only downside was the insides were basic to say the least, very cheap looking
but i would have 1 again anyday, they are well prices aswell
personally im going for a VW T4 or a merc vito, so i can have it as a day van for beach trips and use it for work

Your Welcome ;)

Good choices Matt. ;)
He should go for the biggest strongest van he can find.
You'll be glad of it with half a ton of water on board.
I had an Escort van and it wallowed like a boat and struggled up hills.
I've now got a nice big Renault Trafic, and it's barely noticeable if I'm carrying any water.

What do you do with your poles in that van Squeaky, hangers, roof, floor.
-
Floor, but regret it.
I was winding in my hose and hit one with my fist.
Result? Snapped superlight. >:(
I cracked another one when I stopped a bit quick and my tank shifted an inch. ::)
Lessons learned...
-
Do you only use the superlite then.
-
Squeaks did you go for a new van or second hand?
Is your work increasing? Nel :P

Not any more! :-\
Have to use a 12ft fibreglass extender, and get a new carbon piece as soon as I can.
Having to miss the odd high window at the moment.

It's a new one.
Peace of mind really, but obviously costs a lot.
Work increasing?
Well I've had 3 new ones in the last couple of weeks, but that's all for the last few months really.

i have a vauxhall vivaro swb fitted with ionics 400lt system.
I wish now that i had bought the long wheel base, but was told by ionics 400lt was best i could have in a swb van due to payload.
I have also had a fiat scudo & that van was excellent.

Unlucky mate, they fobbed you off with crap there. :-\
The swb has a payload of 1050KG.
You could have 650L and loads of kit and still be well under that.
Ian Giles has 650L in a swb and barely knows it's there, like me.
They're talking rubbish.
I've got the swb SL29 version which has 1250KG payload, so I could have 800L if I wanted.

It's about £275 a month and I had to put down 3 payments+some insurance something-or-other.
I was about £810 to drive away.
-
How much of that £275 did your accountant say you can get of the old tax bill.

Don't know yet.
I bought it after the tax cut-off, in mid-april. ;D
I haven't had an accountant for years, but I think I'll need one this time to work it out.
