Title: Varistream, and backpack stream

Most of you with van mounts use a varistream,

what happens if you dont... ? does the water belt out at full pace?

Also, i have used my pump from my backpack,,, and put it into the van.... to try it out before getting the real deal ;).... its 40 psi and easily does the work... even on setting 2

which brings me to my post.... whats the difference between having a varistream or having 4 settings on my backpack pump.....?

which is now a van mount pump....

does it do the same job for half the price?

Post by: NWH on August 14, 2007, 06:05:27 pm: Do you use microbore 100mtrs or 60mtrs,the backpack has a good flow on setting 2 but if using an 18ft pole that`s only how far it has to go 18ft to the window.If it has to go through the microbore and then up the pole that`s a hell of a long way and to be honest the back pack is designed to give good pressure or flow out of a hose that is no longer than 4ft with a sprayer on the end.Pump and varistream on a board or in a purpose built box for about £200 and peice of mind.

it pumps through 60 metres of microbore... and up to any third storey window ... on setting 2. ... 60 metres is a fair old way.... then up a pole. so its pretty good. eh
