Title: RESIN CARTRIDGE
Post by: karygate on August 08, 2007, 01:17:30 pm
I HAVE A 100GPD UNIT FROM FREEDOM. MY READING HAS NOW GONE UP TO 7PPM. CAN I REFILL THE CARTRIDGE WITH RESIN OR IS IT JUST AS GOOD TO ORDER A NEW CARTRIDGE. DOES ANYONE KNOW OR DO THIS.

Yes tip out the old resin and fill with new.  It would be a waste of money buying the cartridge as well.

how full do you fill it.

fill it to the top, put the sponge back in and tighten end cap, then give it a shake and tap it a few times, this will fill in any gaps, then unscrew and top up the gap

Dave,

They wanted £30.55 inc vat for delivery for the two bags as I was about to place a order. Is that normal price for delivery?
Is there another site that will charge less (postage)as I'll do need some resin?

Cheers....Tony

thanks everyone. bought  half a bag, changed the resin inside and was surprised that immediately it is coming out at 00ppm . thanks for all the help and saving me a few quid as a new cartridge was 10 pounds. buying half a bag it works out at approx 4pounds per fill instead.
