Looks like i finally have some money to replace our old woodbridge machine
I thought my mind was made up on the power max with in line heater but then saw a few posts on here talking about the heater breaking down.
Then some posts about other machines with much higher specs.
Then other posts saying they dont perform to these specs anyway!
What would you part with your cash for? ???

this nearly gets you a powr flite perfect heat hwe 500 psi job like mine which time after time customers comment on as looking the business.it works impressively as well with the wonder wand and in my opinion would be worth stretching your finances for.as i say it looks the business and performs really well.i am no technical person but check out the spec and it is right up there with the best of them.

I think the power max looks good too. It's also very easy to manoeuver. I like the ninja because of it's functionality. Someone is selling one on buy & sell thats quite new.

are these the ones you mean edge2edge the last one on the page is only 400psi but well below budget if i'm doing my £-$ conversion right

Hi,
Had a powermax and inline heater for 2 years and is used daily maybe 4 hrs, it has never let me down or needed money spending on it, there is more powerful portys, but to be honest you very rarely need it. We have always achieved fantastic results, and customers generally are impresed by the look.

If you want a new powermax look at Olympic's prices, I think they are the cheapest.

sorry edge to edge meant to paste this link

thanks for all the responses
as markpowell says it seems it customers are impressed by the powermax - this is obviously a major factor - is he right in saying that the extra power of the other machines being talked about is not really necessary?
another thing which draws me toward prochem is that in my dealings with them so far they appear to have very good customer service / support - does anyone think different

geeps they are cheap but are there any problems getting them over here and what happens if you get a problem.on the face of it the 400 psi one is excellent value.

$1900, is aout £1150, If you get hit on Import Tax and vat you've got a gfood 20% on that cost but still in budget, of course shipping will probably be £75+

You'll be surprised how many local suppliers fix machines (I was) and the steempro's are relatively simple in their construction so you don't have to tread all the way to chessington just because the pump has gone.

Had a Cheyenne for 4yrs , Powermax for 3yrs - good machines!
Now use a Speedster - loads better!
I wouldnt worry too much about servicing ,changing a vac or pump is no problem on any machine if you are even just slightly handy.
To me now a pump needs to be 300 plus.

If i were buying a porti I would get a speedster it has all of the essentials on it, good psi 450, loads of heat and good vac power yjey even do it with a 2" port so you can optimise the air flow.
