I used the dry compound method today for the first.
Clean two oriential wool rugs. Chose these as they were not visably dirty.
Dusted as normal, prespray solutions wool safe microsplitter, agitated NSEW with the host machine on gold brushes. Then sprinkled Sebos compound on and agitated NSEW again with the host machine. Waited to dry (about 30mins) when vacced off.
Looked cleaner and brighter but still thinking HWE would get the colours more vibrant.
Whats the best compound to use?
To be honest id say it took about the same time to clean as HWE would but the 30min wait was a pain and a real time waster in a customers home if a one room job.
Still prepared to give it a go though.
