you can get some funky light weight safety glass's these days mate. ;)
don't think short term splashes will give out any long term damage though :-\

Are you sure its the water. Sweat really stings.

yes its definately the water splshes that cause irritation it happens every 3 weeks when i do a couple of houses that dont have much room to stand back im more or less directly under the window ive tried a few types saftey glasses but these havent helped much as splashes come down the backs of the frames goggles are a option but they do tend to mist up the irritation last for around 4 to 5 days if the water is good 4 car battries are we sure it wont damage our eyes after all pure water is aggresive water

I always wear sunglasses when working in these type of conditions. I find that the reason it hurts is that it hits your eyeball at quite a speed from a couple of stories up.

just come back from opticians as my eyes are still irritating explained my problem and was told even though its water thats gone in my eyes it can cause scratches to the eyeball as it hits the eye its at such a high speed and long term this can cause damage so for me safety glasses are now a must just be careful with the eyes if u cant see you cant earn
