You need black tanks to stop the algae growth.

Hi Jeff,

Have always used clear tanks and not had a problem as yet? We wash them out 1 x month and found that works fine?

The static tanks in our unit are clear and although not in direct sunlight are certainly in the light and again not had any problems with algae or TDS creeping up?

Guess we just been lucky
