What`s the advantage of having a in line strainer prior to your pump.
-
keeps any crap out of the pump, which will save the pump
-
Like Matt said it keeps the crap out of the pump, without the strainer it gets into the wobble plates and can damage the membrane.
-
Trouble is it`s got hoselock fittings on it where as mine has john guest fittings.
-
Mine has no fittings just a male pipe, I just pushed the hose on and tightened with a jubilee clip.
-
Ditto, you don't even need a clip on the inlet side.
-
hi nigel you can buy a hoselock fitting that screw in to a john guest fitting to connect your hose, thats what iv got to connecting my RO to my outside hose. Give RO-man a call they will sort it.
hope this helps joe
-
No i`ll just take the strainer off for now, what i meant to say was why did it come with the strainer,i didn`t order it.How did you get on with that pole.
-
hi nigel the pole makes life so much easer than my old fiberglass, but im thinking about the new superlite teloscopic at 30ft. how you getting on with all this rain?
cheers joe
-
I just keep on going mate, park up and wait a while over the course of the day i get most of it done.It can`t keep raining like this i`m looking forward to an indian summer?????????????????
-
how can you get any serious crap from 000 DI?
-
The tank does collect rubbish that gets moved around the system.
-
wat saved all my problems waz I put another 10 inch particle filter after
the di to catch all the bits of small resin which seems to get in the tank along
with any other crap .Believe me it does need changing every 6 months but I
dont get any more dirt in the strainer, but IT DEFFINATLY does need a stainer
or a filter coz the pump will last only half the time I know ;) ;) ;)
Particle filter 2/3 quid new pump a lot more Edd
