Title: Carpex
Post by: paul@ctcs on October 09, 2004, 07:28:56 pm
I just got home from Carpex and thoroughly enjoyed my day out ;D I managed to get some goodie bags including possibly the tastiest scones in the world from the boys on the Hydramaster stand.
All in all a top show, only problem is i dont know what to spend my money on after seeing all that great stuff, maybe more scones ;D ;D

Paul

P.S, Nick, Good to meet you at last, thanks for the samples :)

Maybe if i never stopped for liquid refreshment on the way home, i could have been the first to congratrulate the crew at Carpex.

VERY good show, great stands and seminars, TOP scones and very nice atmosphere.... 8)
Nice to see people for the first time ever (Nick & gang), good to see people for the first time in years (John Gotts & Hydramaster mob)and a pleasure to catch up with old faces.(Paul Pearce, DB, Martin..etc)............. ::)

You little tinker...as if I would!

Listen you Guys and Gals, I found Len and his bodyguards sitting in a seminar room on the front row ..they told me they were waiting for the Paul Pearce presentation on carpet/upholstry audits.. This, I was informed, was so that they were in a prime position to heckle him  ;)
I informed them politely that they were in the wrong room (Which they were)

Nice to see you guys again  ;)

Although I could only make a short visit on Friday of a few hours I did enjoy meeting and discussing all manner of things with Mr J Bolton, Derek,Paul Pearce
Doug (from Leigh on Sea) Steve Haywood, Tim and Mike Boxall (I'll look out for the e-mail Mike ;)).

I wished I had arranged my time better so that I could have stayed down over night and had a few beers  ( my son had an important match the next day) with some of you, may be next time ;)

I thought the venue was great and luckily had no problems getting there (apart from M25/M11 roadworks >:()

Here's to bigger and better things next year.

PS: watch your skips at night when John Boltons about ;D ;D
